In times past men were contented to dwell in houses, builded of sallow, willow, plumtree, hardbeame (hornbeam) and elme ……but now all these are rejected and nothing but oke anie whit regarded…..when our houses were builded of willow then we had oken men; but now that our houses are come to be made of oke, our men are not onlie become willow, but a great manie…..altogether of straw.
